MMA Awards 2015 Harley-Davidson Bike Raffle Grand Prize
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Massachusetts Motorcycle Association was pleased to present the grand prize for the MMA's 2015 Bike Raffle to Robert Hazelton from Marstons Mills, Massachusetts this past weekend.
The grand prize offered was a 2015 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special (FLHXS) painted a factory-custom Charcoal Pearl valued at $23,000.00, or a $10,000.00 cash payment option. After much consideration, Bob decided to take the $10,000.00 cash option.
MMA Legislative Director Rick Gleason, District 2 Representative Vasco Nunez, and Member Linda Bond traveled to Marstons Mills on Sunday, August 9, to present the check to Bob and his wife Carol. Everyone was very happy to attend and even the rain threatening skies couldn’t dampen the spirits of all involved.

Noting that the MMA has a strict 2,500 limit on ticket sales, Linda asked Bob for the story of his ticket purchase. Bob responded, "I went online to the MMA Web Site, bought one ticket, and it arrived in the mail!" That’s it! That’s all it took.
This was only the 3rd time there was a "sell out" of all 2,500 tickets, and the very last ticket available was purchased on-line from MassMotorcycle.org a full 2-weeks before the July 18 drawing date.
Bob continued, "I knew someone was going to win, and I know my single ticket purchase was certainly a long shot, but I mainly purchased this ticket to help support the Association and its efforts." A member since April 2010, the MMA truly appreciates Bob’s support over the past 5 years.
When asked if Bob & Carol had any immediate plans for the windfall, Bob answered, "We’re thinking of purchasing an Albin 28 foot powerboat. We’ve been looking for about a year, and we’ve found a nice one in Salem MA, but we were a little short on funds. This check from the MMA bridges that gap."
The MMA offers our sincere congratulations to Bob and Carol Hazelton!
Stay tuned for further details regarding the MMA’s 2016 Raffle Bike. As the new models are announced, the MMA will conduct another raffle, and once again, ticket sales will be limited to 2,500. If you missed out this year, remember what Bob stated; he purchased one ticket online to support the MMA, and with a transaction that likely took less than 10 minutes, he became 2015’s MMA Grand Prize Winner!
