FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hurry!  MMA Experienced Rider Course offered June 12th or 13th!!

Did you know that in Massachusetts, 37% of all Motorcycle Fatalities were at Intersections?  Did you know that 32%  were on curves?  How about that 51% were less than 5 miles from home?

Did you realize that in a curve, almost all motorcycle accidents are single-vehicle accidents because the rider lost control of the motorcycle?   In an Intersection, did you know that the majority of accidents were multi-vehicle accidents and the Motorcyclist was at fault most of the time?

How about that in all the Fatalities reported, 79% of the riders had NO MOTORCYCLE TRAINING!

Proper Motorcycle Rider Education can play a major role in improving your enjoyment of the ride, but also in your ability to avoid potential hazards and accidents!!!

To make matters even better, successful completion of a MA RMV Certified Rider Education Course can result in “rider education” discounts off portions of your motorcycle insurance!

To facilitate this, The MMA has arranged a weekend of Experienced Rider Training through MMA Gold Card Member, TrainingWheels, one of the 2 largest Motorcycle Education Schools in Massachusetts.  The classes will be held at the Framingham Facility on Saturday, June 12th or on Sunday, June 13th from 10am to 5:30pm.

One rider who took the ERC last year commented that, “I’ve been riding for 35 years and was amazed at how much I learned!”  Another rider commented to me within a couple of weeks of their ERC, “the ERC just saved my life this past weekend by helping me avoid an accident!”…

Consisting of about 1½ to 2 hours of time in the classroom and 5 hours of riding on the range, the Experienced Rider Course (ERC) is designed for motorcyclists with at least 3000 miles and at least one season of riding experience. The ERC is a terrific way to work on your existing skills and bring you to the next level of your riding capability.

You will ride your own Motorcycle for this class in which we will work on skills such as:

  • Rider and Motorcycle Preparation
  • Advanced Street Riding Strategies
  • Traction Management
  • Advanced Cornering, Braking and Swerving Techniques

The ERC program is geared towards advanced street riding and is open to all makes and models of street-legal motorcycles which are properly insured, registered and inspected and can pass an instructor’s pre-ride check.

Tuition for the ERC is normally $150.00 for the Experienced Rider Course.  Through Training Wheels, if you register by phone and provide your valid MMA Membership Number, you will receive a $50 discount on the course, meaning the registration tuition is only $100!

Also, many organizations offer discounts and rebates for successful completion of MSF-accredited programs.  For example, Harley Owners Group Members can apply for a “Safe Rider Skills” patch and $50 gift certificate upon completion of the ERC, bringing the net cost of the program down to only $50.

…and again, your insurance may offer you an additional “rider education” discount on portions of your motorcycle insurance!!  Even more benefit!

Isn’t that a worthwhile investment to improve your enjoyment of your ride and potentially save your life?

Classes will be held on Saturday, June 12th and on Sunday, June 13th Both classes are rain or shine and seating is limited to 12 by Motorcycle Safety Foundation rules, so reserve your spot today by contacting TrainingWheels directly at:
