A STORM IS COMING
You won’t hear this from the National Weather Service!
Your Massachusetts Motorcycle Association is the first to announce a “Storm” coming on May 18, 2017. Less than 1 month away, “Storm The State House” will hit the motorcyclists of Massachusetts.
Motorcyclists across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Border States are encouraged to meet up at the staging locations listed below and on our MMA Website at www.MassMotorcycle.org - we plan to ride to the State House in Boston to take cover at the Grand Staircase.
The “Storm” is a FREE event, and parking is provided by the Massachusetts Motorcycle Association. All who are able to attend are encouraged to do so as this is the only Massachusetts motorcycle lobbying day. While visiting the State House, riders will have the opportunity to stop in and visit their State Representative and State Senator to discuss the MMA’s Legislative Agenda.
If we don’t spend a little time making some noise and writing a few letters, then these Bills will die a slow death until the Legislative Session ends next year.
Your MMA exists to fight for the Rights of Motorcycle Riders and your efforts can go a long way to protect yours. Riders are asked to present a copy of our Legislative Agenda to their State Representative and State Senator. Delivering these 2 letters takes way less time than that single charity ride that next weekend!
The “Storm” is your opportunity to donate to yourself!
In Massachusetts, every weekend day for the rest of the 2017 motorcycle riding season, thousands of motorcyclists line up to donate their time and money for all types of Charity and Support Rides benefiting a plethora of worthwhile individuals, causes and organizations.
The MMA is hoping an equal number of riders will also donate their time to "Storm the State House" in Boston on May 18th to show the Massachusetts Legislature that we care about our issues, that we will fight for our issues, and that we Vote to help advance our issues.
We realize the Storm is scheduled on a regular work day, but we do this because that’s when your Legislators’ offices are manned and when the Legislators are in session!

A limited quantity of STORM THE STATE HOUSE 2017 event shirts are available in Men's short-sleeve, Ladies' short-sleeve, and Unisex long-sleeve options. The Men's shirt is in Pebble, the Ladies' is in Daffodil Yellow, and the Long-Sleeve is in Sand. Colors are shown in the picture:
Reserve yours by clicking on the "Register/T-Shirts Button" on the right of the Event Web Page. Pre-orders MUST be paid by credit card, we will not hold any unpaid orders. Shirts will be delivered at the Staging Area prior to the event. We will happily ship any pre-paid orders if you include the shipping option below, but they will be shipped a few weeks AFTER the event.
The remaining shirts will be available for sale at the event, but on a first-come, first-served basis. Don't miss the chance to reserve your shirt!

We are asking every motorcyclist in this state to make every effort to attend this 16th Annual Storm the State House Event on May 18, 2017 and make an impact!
Riders should plan to arrive at the Lion’s Club/Senior Center at 9 New Washington Street in Somerville anytime between 9-11AM. Coffee and breakfast snack foods will be available. Storm riders will depart promptly at 12-NOON for the short ride to the State House. During this ride we actually pass right in front of the State House and Legislators typically are waiting for our arrival.
Riders should note that there are already a few staging locations set up. If you would like to organize a staging location from your area, please let us know and we will publicize it!
