MMA 2011 Elections Notification
TO ALL MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE MASSACHUSETTS MOTORCYCLE ASSOCIATION.

Members are reminded that the MMA's Monthly Board of Directors Meeting to be held on October 5, 2011 is also the organization's Annual Meeting. This meeting will be held at The Rose Garden Restaurant 16 Milford Street Upton, MA. The purpose of the Annual Meeting is to elect MMA members to board positions that are either vacant or the incumbents term has expired. The following board positions are up for election this year: Chairman, Legislative Director, Motorcycle Industry Affairs Director, District One Manager, and District Four Manager.

These positions are all elected by the current sitting board members but are open to any member interested in seeking any of these offices. The eligibility requirements for these positions require that you are a current member in good standing with the MMA and that you have been a member in good standing for at least one year. The two District Manager positions have a further requirement of residing within the respective district in which you would be the manager. These positions are all for a three year term of office.

Anyone interested in any of these positions please submit a short note of your intention to run and a brief resume to Richard Schofield, Elections Committee Chairman, no later than Midnight October 3, 2011, via e-mail to roadcaptain@verizon.net. Also, you MUST be present at the October meeting to accept the nomination, give a brief talk as to why you are seeking this position, and to answer any questions board members may have.

All members are further notified each District will be conducting a meeting, in their respective districts, during the month of October. The purpose of these meetings will be to elect a District Representative for each district. These positions are elected, by the membership, to a one year term of office to the board of directors. The eligibility is the same as for the District Managers as stated above.
